01What areas does 555 Cars cover?
We cover Letchworth Garden City, Hitchin, Baldock, Royston and the surrounding North Hertfordshire villages. We also run long-distance journeys and airport transfers across the UK.
02Are you really available 24 hours a day?
Yes — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. You can phone, text or email a booking at any time and a local driver will be on the way.
03How much will my taxi cost?

04Do you do airport transfers?
Yes. We run fixed-price transfers to and from Luton, Stansted, Heathrow, Gatwick and London City. We track your flight, so if it's delayed we adjust the pick-up at no extra charge.
05Can I book a larger vehicle with more luggage space?
Yes. Our fleet of over 50 cars includes MPVs that seat up to 5 passengers with extra room for luggage, alongside saloons, estates and executive cars — ideal for airport trips, extra bags and corporate travel.
06Is 555 Cars a licensed taxi company?
Yes. 555 Cars is licensed by North Hertfordshire District Council, and every driver is DBS-checked and fully insured.
07How can I pay for my taxi?
You can pay by debit or credit card and contactless in the car, by cash, or in the 555 Cars app. Business and account customers can also pay by monthly invoice. However you pay, the fixed price is agreed up front — there's never a surge or peak-time surcharge.
08Can I book a taxi in advance?
Yes. You can pre-book a car for any time, day or night — it's the best way to lock in early-morning airport transfers and station runs. Book ahead by phone on 01462 555 555 or 01763 555 555, in the 555 Cars app, or through the online booker, and your driver will be there on time.
09Do you provide child or baby seats?
We ask passengers to bring and fit their own child or baby seats, as we can't guarantee one will be carried. Please let us know how many seats you'll be bringing when you book so we can send a car with enough room.
10Can I bring my dog or a pet?
Assistance dogs are always welcome and carried at no extra charge, in line with the law. Other pets are welcome by prior arrangement — just tell us when you book so we can let the driver know, and we'll do our best to accommodate.
11I've left something in a 555 Cars taxi — what should I do?
Call the office as soon as you can — 01462 555 555 (Letchworth) or 01763 555 555 (Royston) — with your journey details and we'll check with the driver. You can also use the contact form and choose "Lost property". We'll do everything we can to reunite you with your belongings.
